If you are reading this, you are probably worried about someone — a parent, a sibling, a tenant, or yourself. Hoarding cleanouts are not ordinary junk removal jobs. There is usually a lifetime of belongings involved, a person who is not sure they are ready, and a family that has been putting off the call for a long time.
All Oregon Junk Removal handles hoarding cleanouts across the Portland metro and the west-side suburbs. We are a family-owned Tigard company, and we approach these jobs the way we would want someone to treat our own family: quietly, patiently, and without making anyone feel ashamed of their home.
Nothing leaves the property until you say it leaves. That is the whole method.

A real cleanout we handled in the Portland area. Every room starts somewhere.
A hoarding cleanout usually involves every category of junk removal at once, and we are equipped for all of it: furniture, mattresses, appliances, clothing, books, papers, boxes, bagged trash, electronics and e-waste, scrap metal, yard debris, and the contents of garages, sheds, attics and storage units.
We also accept items most haulers turn down, including styrofoam, paint and household chemicals. If you are unsure about something specific, send a photo and we will tell you before we arrive.
If a property also needs biohazard or mold remediation, tell us during the walkthrough. We will be straight with you about what we can take on ourselves and where a specialist should handle it first.
Hoarding cleanouts vary too much for a rate card. Volume, access, stairs, how much sorting is needed and how many days the job runs all move the number, so we quote these individually after a walkthrough rather than guessing over the phone.
What we can promise is that the quote is firm before we start, and the price we quote is the price you pay. Donated and recycled weight earns a discount on the job. See our pricing page for the standard rates behind the estimate.
Will your crew judge the house or the person living in it?
No. We have done this many times and we have seen it all. Our crew works quietly, skips the commentary, and treats the home and the person with respect.
What if my family member is not ready for a full cleanout?
That is common, and forcing it rarely works. Many families start with a single room, a garage or a walkway so the person can see progress without feeling overrun. We work at whatever pace you set.
How do you make sure nothing important gets thrown away?
We sort as we go and set aside anything that looks like documents, photographs, jewelry, cash or keepsakes for you to review before it leaves. When in doubt, we stop and ask.
Do you work with property managers, landlords and estate executors?
Yes. Rental turnovers, eviction leftovers and estate situations are regular junk removal work for us, and we can work from a lockbox and send photos once the property is cleared.
How long does a hoarding cleanout take?
Most run from one day to several depending on volume, access and how much sorting is involved. We give you an expected window with the quote rather than leaving it open-ended.
What happens to everything you haul away?
Donation first. Usable furniture, housewares, clothing and appliances go to local donation partners, recyclables are separated out, and only what is left goes to the transfer station.
