The event was great. The venue at 11 p.m. is not. Somebody has to deal with the broken canopy, the folding tables nobody owns, forty bags of trash, and the decorations that seemed like a good idea on Pinterest. Here’s how event clean-up actually works in the Portland area and what it costs.
What event clean-up covers
We’re the haul-away crew: everything that needs to leave the site and has nowhere to go. That typically means:
- Bagged trash and recycling beyond what the venue’s bins hold
- Decorations, signage, banners, and staging props
- Broken or leftover canopies, tables, and chairs
- Furniture and fixtures from staged spaces
- Whatever the rental company won’t take back
Our crew does all the loading and leaves the space swept, which matters when a cleaning deposit is riding on how you hand the venue back.
Who books us
- Weddings and receptions – usually booked in advance for the morning after
- Estate sales – everything that didn’t sell, cleared so the house can close or list
- Corporate events and office parties – after-hours pickup so the office is normal by Monday
- Graduations, birthdays, and backyard events – one pickup instead of two weeks of overflowing bins
- Community and church events – fast turnaround for shared spaces
What it costs in 2026
Event hauls price like any other load, and most fall at the small end:
- Minimum pickup: $150
- Small load (5×10 trailer, up to 2,000 lbs): $240-$600
- Medium load (6×12 trailer, up to 5,000 lbs): $600-$960
Full rates are on our pricing page. If the venue charges for late or messy handoffs, a $150 pickup is cheap insurance against losing a deposit.
How to schedule it
Book ahead when you can – tell us the venue’s checkout deadline and we’ll aim the pickup window at it, the same night where scheduling allows or first thing the next morning. Text photos of the aftermath to (503) 455-7920 any time and we’ll confirm a price before we start.
After an estate sale
Estate sales deserve their own note: once buyers have picked through, what’s left still fills rooms, and the family usually just wants the house empty. Our Oregon estate cleanout guide covers the whole process, and our full house cleanout service finishes the job in one visit.
