First: know Oregon’s rules on abandoned belongings
Oregon law requires landlords to follow a specific written-notice process before disposing of property a tenant leaves behind. The details – notice period, storage obligations, what you can charge – depend on the situation, so before anything gets hauled, make sure the notice clock has actually run out. When in doubt, confirm the current requirements with your attorney or property management association. A cleanout is cheap compared to a dispute.
